May 2, 2006“wow…bokod” is all I can say when we reach the place. We arrived 6 p.m at BSU Bokod campus.
At first, some of us went to look around to have an idea what is in the place. Most of us apppreciate it.
After that we went to Ambangeg, where the caƱao will be held. We eat our dinner there. Then we take a rest for tomorrows activity. (Ritual)
At 6 a.m., the family members starts to dig the bones of the dead relative. After that they put it in a pine coffin. They make use of the pine to prevent it from the maggots, insects that easy to destroy the trunk of a tree. They also use native quilt to cover the bones. After a while, the start to beat the gong and solibao…it’s fun to learn the native dance. Here, I also learned some ibaoi language like for example: sarong, term use for the woman to dance and tayaw for the men; balat is banana and shapdaan is a plant that can be alternative for cigarrette.
What? its already lunch again…hehehehe…we eat meat or they so called watwat…after that we visited also the Badekbek, the sulfur hot spring of Bokod. Take photos and sulfur mud kanu met ah…
The next morning, we observed the ritual for the dead of accident (for the father of our instructor) that the made at the backdoor. They use the backdoor to prevent the unfortune. Then, the group decide to went home but I left in Poblacion to visit my uncle.
Tuesday! me, my uncle and some of the seminarians left for Palansa to celebrate with their church feast. I observed that people there are humble and respectful. The program and decoration is simple and enjoyable because all of them cooperate in the preparation. Even though that they live in far away places. All I got to do when we left Palansa was sighed and say that in a community that has cooperation can survive with out a leader.
hay! what a wonderful journey…I am tired…ciao!!

April 10, 2006Life is beautiful…At first, I don’t understand my emotion when they announced my name that I will be assigned at the College of Agriculture. For almost staying three years, imagine that my internship will be still at my college.
On my first day of job, I am thinking what will be our assignment because on my observation there is none to be done. But I am wrong, there are lots of assignment to be done. And our boss give us the assignment. We will make a leaflet for each department in our college then summarize the abstract of Development Communication thesis from 2003 to 2006 to be published on the website of DevCom.Our next assignment will have a movie review on the past project and to put cover design in each movie.
I have start my assignment on the summarizing of abstract and lay outing the design of the leaflet.I had learned to be more patience with my companion because some of them are hard enough to go along with. But as long as I am doing my part to finish those assignment and to guide my companion, I think that is good enough to show my being friendly.hehehehehe.Additionally, I have learned to share my ideas to others.
till next….
